Milwaukee, Wisconsin (APRIL 1, 2008) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced today the launch of a new pilot lawnmower trade-in program in conjunction with the Company’s 100th anniversary and Earth Day. The pilot program will run at selected Snapper® Dealers in the metro Milwaukee area from April 1 through May 10, 2008. Briggs & Stratton, in conjunction with Miller Compressing, will recycle the consumer’s old lawn mower for free and will also issue a $30 Instant Trade-in Rebate towards the purchase of a new Snapper Mower.
“What a great way to recycle that old mower in your garage and help the environment at the same time,” stated John Mourand, Environmental Compliance Manager at Briggs & Stratton. “Engines on new Snapper mowers are up to 15% more fuel-efficient and emit up to 75% less emissions than units sold before 1997,” Mourand said.
To take part in this great program, just visit one of these local Snapper dealers during the month of April to recycle your old mower and receive your $30 Instant Trade-In Rebate:
