Three Ways to Win:
Power Play Interactive Hockey Game
In the spirit of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, Briggs & Stratton has developed a fun and interactive hockey game, offering visitors a fun way to play for a chance to win the Olympic trip package. Featuring three periods of fast paced game play, the Game player is first introduced to a home power outage scene. The scene then morphs into a hockey rink, where the player controls the goalie, with the object of the game being to block as many shots as possible for the opposing team, the “Winter Stormers.” Players score power points each time they block a goal, and lose points when a goal is scored. Players who complete the game are automatically entered for a chance to win the Olympic trip.

The game is timed with a running score feature so entrants have the opportunity to frequently play to beat their personal best score. To play and for a list of official game rules, visit

“My Storm Story”
In an effort to help people better cope with the anxiety associated with power failure, Briggs & Stratton has launched for the second time the successful “My Storm Story,” encouraging people to enlighten and inspire others with their own personal tales of endurance. Each story submission automatically enters the individual into the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games contest, and submitters are encouraged to share within 100 words or less how they and their family were affected by a power outage caused by a severe ice or winter storm. Previous stories have included interesting accounts of what it was like to live without power or what homeowners did to manage through an outage. Stories can also share what consumers have learned through the experience and any steps they have taken to prepare themselves for future storms.
