MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (December 14, 2016) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation is partnering with ASCO to engineer and manufacture automatic transfer switches to support Briggs & Stratton’s new 80kW - 200kW standby generators. Briggs & Stratton’s light commercial standby generator power line is designed for small commercial buildings or large homes.
“Our focus for the new 80kW - 200kW standby generator line is to give our certified dealers and the homeowners and business owners they serve, a reliable, durable, product from a trustworthy company,” said Brian Northway, product manager for Briggs & Stratton standby power. “Partnering with ASCO, an established leader in the power-transfer industry, is a natural fit because they’re known for building exceptional transfer units that manage large power loads.”
ASCO and Briggs & Stratton transfer switches leverage elements from ASCO’s extensive product portfolio. A transfer switch seamlessly and automatically moves a building’s power from utility power to backup power in the event of a power outage. Briggs & Stratton is backing the new transfer switch with a three-year parts and labor warranty1.
Briggs & Stratton’s new standby generator models, powered by natural gas, are available in 80kW, 100kW, 150kW and 200kW. Customers interested in purchasing a Briggs & Stratton standby generator can visit www.briggsandstratton.com to find their nearest dealer.
